Tom brings twelve years of real estate experience and twenty years of legal experience to fulfill Bronco’s goal of creating a profitable portfolio of real estate investments. Prior to forming Bronco RE, Tom was a principal with Silverwood Investments, LLC, which he co-founded in 2001.  Prior to Silverwood, Tom was one of two founders, as well as a Director, VicePresident and shareholder of Stonesfair Financial Corporation. Stonesfair commenced investing in apartment properties in 1993 and acquired approximately 3,000 units. Stonesfair focused on medium and large, class “A” and “B” multifamily communities in Northern California. Tom was involved in market analysis, real estate broker relations, acquisitions, equity and debt capital formation, investor relations and dispositions. Tom formed relationships for equity capital with many of his former colleagues in Silicon Valley, including some of the leading venture capitalists, attorneys and executives in the Valley. He also formed relationships with lenders such as Metropolitan Life, GE Capital, Berkshire, Wells Fargo, and Washington Mutual.

Prior to forming Stonesfair, Tom was, from 1989 to 1994, a corporate partner with Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel, a medium-sized general practice law firm in San Jose, California. His responsibilities were primarily to assist in the growth of the firm’s business practice by leveraging experience in the corporate, securities (including real estate securities), and acquisitions/mergers areas.  Prior to joining Hoge, Fenton, Tom was, from 1986 to 1989, with the San Jose office of the international law firm of Thelen, Marrin, Johnson & Bridges, where he participated in the corporate, securities and acquisitions/mergers areas.  Prior to joining Thelen, Marrin, Tom was, from 1982 to 1986, a partner at Simpson, Fair & Rinaldo, in Palo Alto, CA. In this boutique corporate, securities and mutual fund firm, his responsibilities were to provide corporate, acquisitions and securities law services to a variety of entities in Silicon Valley and, in large part, to Franklin Resources, Inc.

Tom is a licensed non-practicing attorney in California. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco in 1974 and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Santa Clara in 1971. He is a member of The Olympic Club of San Francisco and formerly a long-time member of the Board of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Peninsula, and of Rotary International.
